I "Cristi" che dipingo non accettano il giudizio a cui sono sottoposti. Non alzano gli occhi al cielo.
Si schiodano dalla croce, scendono, vogliono continuare a vivere. Sono ribelli, rabbiosi. Anche il tratto, il segno, è inciso nel muro, nel legno del colore buttato, anche nell'ironia di quell'oro. La croce viene subito rifiutata, e anche quando taglia di netto il viso del Cristo non ha i tratti della morte. E il catino non è rosso di sangue, ma rosa confetto.
